An embroidered patch featuring the words ADHD Concentration Camp, along with a teepee inside of a gear/crosshair symbol, with a tree on either side. Yeah, this is a bad one. Just like the others, I will not apologize. Things are funny, even if they aren't funny to you. I'll die defending both marginalized people, and my right to make jokes about things. Antisemitism is a real problem, just like all other bigotries that are utilized by the ruling class to keep working people at each other's throats. Israel is a settler-colonial state, the Earth belongs to Jewish people the same as it belongs to everyone else, the Holocaust happened, fascism is bad, and I'm not sorry for making this patch. If you think this is some kind of dog-whistle, just take five minutes to look around the rest of my shop, my TikTok page, and my FAQs.
Also, it would probably be beneficial if everyone takes the time to do a bit of research on neurodivergent people, ADHD, autism, and other mental variations that are exhibited by humans. If most things exist on a spectrum, I think it is only reasonable to conclude that the way brains are wired, is also going to be on a spectrum. Your friends are probably weird for a reason. You're probably overstimulated sometimes for a reason. I like maps waaaaay too much for a reason. Be kind to those around you.
I personally don't think there is anything we could call "neurotypical". Each person is going to exhibit a different set of behaviors, and a lot of those behaviors could be considered "on the spectrum". Nobody has a "normal" brain. Up until recently, it was always a certain range of deviation that was acceptable, usually dependent upon culture and technology, and anything farther outside the range was heresy. Just like we have physical phenotypes, there are also probably mental phenotypes. Some people like to stay up late, some are left handed, some are extremely organized and meticulous, others are extremely sympathetic, etc.- and a lot of them can overlap. The more overlapped they are, the harder it can be to navigate the world. How much sway nature or nurture has over these deviations is probably going to be the more interesting part of the investigation.
